Closer To God Books™ Debuts
Title on Suffering & Mission At
Catholic Media Convention 2007

Charlotte, NC, May 2007 –    “Do You Know What Your Son Said to Me?” a book by Ralph Hilary Sullivan, will be introduced at the Catholic Media Convention 2007 at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, May 23-25, 2007, it was announced today by its publisher, Closer To God Books. 
   The book tells the story of Jimmy Sullivan, an 18 year-old student at St. John Fisher College, who after being diagnosed with bone cancer channeled his suffering into a quest to lead others to God. Written by his father, the story examines how Jimmy’s paschal journey engendered spiritual enrichment among all who shared in the mission to heal. 
   The title of the book came from the repeated question that strangers, most of whom were patients, posed to his father after having been touched by Jimmy’s words. Each of its chapters is headed by a quote from Jimmy, which these strangers relayed to his father. They are powerful expressions of faith that had a deep impact on many people including his dad who describes the experience as sensing the presence of the Divine. He goes on to explain that the real source of Jimmy’s words was another Son. 
   Mr. Sullivan says of his book, “it is not a biography, nor an attempt to elevate Jimmy on a pedestal or on a path to canonization. It is about a nine-month journey, not of suffering but of mission. I have written this book to carry on Jimmy’s mission of bringing others closer to God.”
